Technical definition
Official mobile app
The official mobile app allows an electric scooter, e-bike, mobility scooter or other smart device to connect to a mobile phone in order to check information, adjust settings and manage advanced vehicle functions. It is not always essential to use the product, but it can add convenience, control and a better overall user experience.
Through the app, the user can view data such as the remaining battery level, estimated range, distance travelled, vehicle status or possible maintenance alerts. On some models, it can also be used to change riding modes, limit speed, lock the vehicle, activate lights, update the firmware or configure safety options.
Knowing whether a product has an official mobile app helps you compare different models more accurately and understand whether it offers additional smart features beyond basic use.
