Technical definition
disk-brake
A disc brake is a braking system in which a metal disc is attached to the wheel and rotates with it. When the brake is applied, a caliper presses pads against the disc, generating friction that reduces speed until the rotation stops. It is a very efficient system because it dissipates heat well, responds quickly, and provides more precise and powerful braking control.
