The IP55 rating offers similar dust protection and greater water resistance than IP54. The first number, 5, indicates protection against dust without affecting normal use, while the second number, 5, means protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction. It is better suited for stronger rain or demanding outdoor environments, although it is still not suitable for immersion.
