Technical definition

electronic brake

The electronic brake is a braking system that uses the vehicle’s own electric motor to reduce speed. When activated, the motor stops providing propulsion and begins generating resistance that helps slow the wheel in a smooth and progressive way. In many electric scooters, this system also includes energy recovery (KERS or regenerative braking), returning part of that energy to the battery.
